An international art collective was tasked with visually recreating their favorite childhood stories. Today, the Slashthree collective is proud to release it's eighteenth exhibition, "Fairy Tales". The project invited the artists to delve into their fondest childhood memories and recreate the magic they felt when they were whisked off to a land far, far away. Each piece of art in this exhibition is a unique, beautiful interpretation of fairy tales from both popular culture or the contributing artist's own culture, all of which have come together to create one of our finest exhibitions to date. The collective welcomed the contributions of a number of new artists such as Chris Valentine, Man-Tsun and Nathan Walker to this project, as well as the returns of a few of the collective's veteran members such as Anton Semenov, Roy Bourkel, Zach Bush and Kacper Spala.
Since becoming a member of the Slashthree artist core in October 2010, Rob Shields has been a pillar of consistency both in creating artwork for our exhibitions as well as lending his voice and opinions behind the scenes. Rob's two incredible submissions to "Fairy Tales" provide evidence for his outstanding growth as an artist since he has joined the collective, and for these as well as his outstanding behind-the-scenes contributions Rob has earned the title of "Featured Artist" for Exhibition 18. You can catch an interview between Rob and Site Director Saad Moosajee by clicking here.
With that, we invite you to immerse yourself in the world of your childhood with Slashthree's eighteenth exhibition: Fairy Tales.
Thank you,

In other news, I'm all good! I'm really busy these days as I'm on a masters degree studying "Multidisciplinary Design Innovation", it's a course where I work with business and engineering students on large design projects, so I've got a lot of stuff that I'm working on that I can't quite show at the moment, but maybe when I graduate I will at some point! I guess I can also mention that by posting some of the above news I'm a Slashthree member. At the moment I'm staff which means I'm helping a bit with more administrative stuff, but perhaps I can get some work into the next release as I just missed this one.
Hope you guys are well, if you have any stories and things you've been up to let me know

EDIT: Silly, forgot the link to the S3 exhibit. Updated now.

I submitted a back cover to the Creative Cards Project being hosted by Digital Abstracts. If you have a second and a facebook account, hit the like button on my submission, that'd be sweeeeeet! I only have 24 hours of your time to like it, so if you share/tweet it that'd be awesome too.
